Offers assistance to low-income New Yorkers for their legal problems.
The website provides access to free legal service programs,
information about legal rights, links to social services and
government agencies, and information about the court system.
This website has information on the following legal subject areas:consumer, immigration, disability, individual rights, family andjuvenile, life planning, education, public benefits, health caretaxes, housing, workers’ rights, and seniors.
The City has launched a new Web site granting public online access to the New York City Charter and Administrative Code and the Rules of the City of New York.
Legal Information for Families Today
Legal Information for Families Today (LIFT) has created a Family Legal
Center (FLC) to help mothers and fathers who, without a lawyer, are
involved in child support, custody, and/or visitation cases in Family
Courts citywide.
* FLC’s free legal services include: individualized legal information,
court accompaniment and assistance completing court documents,
counseling, father-to-father mentoring, custody/visitation assistance,
etc.
AFC provides a range of services that are geared towards assisting
impoverished and vulnerable NYC families to secure quality and equal
public education services.

Housing Services:
East River Development Alliance (ERDA)
This is a non-profit organization in LIC working to transform and
improve NYC public housing neighborhoods by providing residents with
the tools and opportunities necessary for self-sufficiency and
economic mobility.
* Services: provides technical support to leadership in public housing
development in Queensbridge, Ravenswood, Astoria, and Woodside Houses.Through this site, you will find information on all aspects of City housing, including renting an apartment, buying a home, and apartment maintenance issues. Through this site, you will also find all of the City's affordable housing lottery listings.
Real Estate Services:
NYC Buildings Information System (BIS)
This is the Department of Buildings’ main database. Inputting an adress supplies users with general information on a property in the city including recorded complaints and violations, actions, applications, and inspections.
GIS information is provided to the public through the New York CityMap, which provides a wealth of information. Input of an address provides the user with a map. In addition to indicating the building requested, users can select additional icons to add to the map such as schools, day care centers, senior centers, libraries, hospitals and more as well as links to Web sites for these facilities.
Immigration Services:
Not-For-Profit Immigration legal services provider organization that
only deals with Immigration law.
* Areas of specialty: family based Immigration law and applications
such as ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS (I-485), ALIEN RELATIVE PETITIONS(I-130), NATURALIZATION (N-400) AND GREEN CARD REPLACEMENT (I-90) and
many more.
This not-for-profit organization assists immigrants and refugees with
the adjustment process, and provides them with the skills to live
independently.
* Services include: English language instruction, job placement
services, immigration application assistance, bilingual case
management, and educational counseling.

Salah M. Hassanein Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens
This organization serves youths from the ages of 6 – 17. It provides a
safe environment for children to build self-esteem, self confidence
and the skills needed to become responsible citizens and leaders.
* Services/Facilities: pool, gymnasium, game rooms, computer rooms,library, theater, and activity rooms.
This organization provides our children, through the sport of tennis,
with character development, physical conditioning, social skillsdevelopment, learning disciplines, and education opportunities.

homework clubs, SAT tutoring, and possible scholarship opportunities.
Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation
This foundation provides children the skills to bridge the academic
performance gap among under-achieving students by extending the school
day and year with wholesome, skill-building activities designed to
improve NYC children’s academic performance, health and wellness,
attitude towards school, self-confidence, character and values, and
opportunity for lifelong employment.
